BMW Mediatecture

At the high-tech trade show CES, the all-electric BMW iX is staged as a color-changing ensemble of car and architecture.

To convey the digital soul of the BMW iX, we created a choreography of vivid, evocative animations that play on the media facade and on the skin of the BMW iX Flow.

The visuals are based on the current BMW signature pattern. The animation follows a dramaturgy that visualizes different states of the car in different virtual landscapes, from a sleep and dream phase to an energetic driving performance.

An electronic color-changing film from E-Ink is used to create this dynamic piece. The film creates dramatic visual effects while using minimal energy.
